Pets Live On

THE STORY OF MICKEY
Mickey was a wonderful rabbit who died at a young age...He was loved by many people...My whole family, our neighbors, all of my friends and my familys friends. Even the other pets loved him. The birds would run right to his cage when I let them out. The hamster would sit in his cage when I took her out to visit Mickster. Mickey was a very loved rabbit...and he loved us. It seems
like he was gone too soon, he grew up so fast from the little bunny that I could hold in my hand, to the big beautiful tan and white bunny I knew and love. I can't stop crying about him, noone in my family can. I know he has gone to heaven, it's just so hard though. He was such a wonderful rabbit. I remember how he would hop around the house on his little leash...my 12th birthday present, the most wonderful present I've ever had next to my mutt. He
was truly my first son. When he was a baby I got him used to my voice by bundling him up in a cotton blanket and reading to him. Even my Dad, who usually doesn't remember the names of the pets, loved Mickey very much. When we were burying him he looked like he was going to cry...I've never seen him get like that about anything smaller than a dog. Everyone has been crying for days, wether we see his cage or see a picture of him. We've written poems,
drawn pictures, and printed out our favorite photos of him. I am going to make a site for him, a tribute to my first and most wonderful son. His grave is decorated with flowers and pictures, and our favorite rocks. And a cross...for a wonderful pet who brang much joy and laughter into our lives, from the time he jumped in the small pink barbie convertable to the time he jumped from his cage all the way to my bed. He was so great, he used to sleep
with me, and I would scratch his head all night. I scratched his head one last time before we buried him...I love you Mickey.
